It is currently 25" long. I'm almost through with the first ball of alpaca, so I'll say I'm about half done. My plan is to continue to do 2 repeats per day until it is finished.
So here we go:

And a (moderate) close up of the stitch pattern, overtaken by a fluffy cat tail:

The color in the first pic is truer; it is really a very subdued, earthy, mustard yellow and not the bright, vibrant one in the second pic.
I'm very interested to see how it changes when blocked.

The beach was fantastic! I sure didn't know it would turn out to be a 12 hour odyssey. Ramon brought his uncle and we had a fantastic time in Guanica and Ponce.
